We met on the dating website Plenty of Fish. After a couple of days of texting, we decided to go on our first date, buying tickets to a travelling Cirque du Soleil show a couple of weeks away. A few more days passed, and we couldn't wait any longer to meet! We decided to spend the day together, commencing with dinner at Oregano's. Jamie asked Robyn to be his girlfriend...

We enjoyed 2 years together, filling our time with getting to know each other, meeting each others families, and celebrating our common interests and differences. At this point, we decided to begin Chapter 2: Cohabitating!


We got our first place together in July 2021. Joining us would be Jamies 3-year-old cat, McGonagall and Robyns 9-year-old cat, Oliver.


Thankfully, everyone got along! Now that we were all together, we started building a home and a life together. Fate decided that we needed to make room for one more in our family...


In May 2022, we were given the opportunity to rescue a neonatal kitten. A friend of Robyns found an abandoned litter of 3 black kittens in a park, eyes closed and umbilical cords still attached, making them no more than 4 days old. All 3 found homes and are thriving! Our little creature of darkness, his name is Cosmo (aka Momo)! In the midst of feedings every 4 hours and around the clock care, we BOTH contracted COVID. Thankfully, both of us (and Momo) came through.


During the summer of 2022, Jamie decided it was finally time to ask Robyn to marry him. We became engaged on August 12, 2022 with a simple proposal at home.


We were ready to move on from our 3rd floor apartment, which brings us to Chapter 3: Buying Our First House!


Wed begun our search in April 2022, but decided to take a break from the super-competitive housing market. When our search resumed in August, it didnt take long to find a place we both loved! We moved in to our little townhouse in October.


Weve taken many trips together, our first being a weekend in Sedona. Robyn being a Disney lover, weve been to Disneyland twice (with a third commencing in December 2023). Weve also been to Northern Arizona (Greer, Williams, and the Grand Canyon), Las Vegas, and Minnesota. Our FAVORITE trip would be our cruise taken during Thanksgiving 2022. This particular trip was a long time coming, originally being planned as a celebration of our first anniversary in March 2020 (we all know what happened here). This trip took us to Honduras, Belize, and Mexico!


Now that were entering the 2nd half of 2024, were looking forward to planning Chapter 4: Wedded Bliss!
